IAAPA Announces 2016 Membership Benefits

Leadership Training, Telemedicine, Food Purchasing Co-Op, and Safety Self-Assessment Tool Among New Offerings

(Alexandria, Virginia, US) - The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) offers its nearly 5,000 member companies around the world exclusive year round benefits so they can be connected, be ready, be educated, and be informed. The suite of new and recently launched member benefits for 2016, will enhance educational offerings, professional development programs, and provide cost savings opportunities to IAAPA member companies.

New benefits and programs for 2016 include:

  • IAAPA Institute for Attraction Leaders: The new four day program is dedicated to developing leadership qualities and enhancing situational leadership skills in a peer-to-peer learning environment. The institute is designed for mid-level managers and directors with senior and executive level aspirations. The Institute will be held May 29-June 3, 2016 at Efteling in Kaatsheuvel, The Netherlands. Registration will be open soon.
  • Telemedicine Program: In partnership with Britton Gallagher, IAAPA member companies in the United States can now give their employees access to health care services via the telephone, computer, and mobile app. The cost-saving employee benefit helps to reduce health care costs, improve employee productivity, and increase employee satisfaction.   • AAFPO Food Buying Program: The IAAPA endorsed Amusements & Attractions Food Purchasing Organization (AAFPO) program leverages the buying power of all participating U.S. members to achieve the best food, beverage, paper, and supply prices through a network of select distributor and manufacturer partners.   • Facility Excellence Self-Assessment Tool: Safety is a continuous journey. To help members on that journey, IAAPA’s Global Safety Committee has created a downloadable safety self-assessment tool for members to measure their progress and assess their current safety measures. Members download the tool at here.
  • Funworld Relaunch: Based on input from IAAPA members around the world, the industry’s premier magazine introduced a new look in February. The publication now features improved readability, a stronger focus on international news, and gives readers a behind-the-scenes look at new products and projects. See the latest edition here.

IAAPA recently launched IAAPA Certification, which is the new official mark of professional achievement in the global attractions industry. This IAAPA-exclusive program provides overdue recognition for professionals’  years of experience and professional development training. Certification is open to all levels of industry professionals from Managers (ICAM) to Leaders (ICAL) and Executives (ICAE).
