IAAPA Space Allocation Subcommittee to Assign Hundreds of Booths to IAAPA Expo 2019 Trade Show Floor

by Juanita Chavarro Arias

The IAAPA Expo (formerly IAAPA Attractions Expo) Space Allocation meeting will be held April 11-12. In this meeting, the IAAPA Space Allocation Subcommittee, made up of 13 member volunteers, will assign exhibit space for November’s Expo by seniority. As space is allocated, the online interactive floor plan will be updated, and exhibitors will receive an e-mail with their booth number and other pertinent information. IAAPA will also live-tweet the meeting’s proceedings on Twitter: @IAAPAHQ.

Contracts must be submitted by March 8 to be part of the Space Allocation process. IAAPA will still accept applications to exhibit at the Expo after April 17, but these booths will be slotted on a first-come, first-served basis. The trade show at IAAPA Expo 2019 takes place Nov. 19-22 in Orlando.

IAAPA EMEA Spring Summit 2019, formerly known as IAAPA EMEA Spring Forum, will offer attendees from the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region exclusive opportunities to network with attractions industry professionals, learn from in-depth seminars, and embark on exciting attraction tours. The summit will take place in Finland from May 14 to 15 and focus on dynamic pricing. Participants will learn about how to adapt attractions’ price systems and react to varying seasonal demand from leaders who have experience operating attractions in areas with drastic weather and climate changes.

During the summit, attendees will explore three Finnish attractions: Linnänmaki, an amusement park in Helsinki, Finland, with more than 40 rides; Haltia – The Finnish Nature Centre, an exhibition and event center in Espoo, Finland; and Särkänniemi, an adventure destination that includes an amusement park, aquarium, planetarium, and observation tower in Tampere, Finland.

An optional Post Tour will follow IAAPA EMEA Spring Summit 2019. From May 16 to 17, the Post Tour will visit St. Petersburg, Russia, and give attendees an up-close look at Divo Ostrov amusement park and the State Hermitage Museum of art and culture.
