2017 IAAPA Attractions Expo Recap - Hulkmania

Hulkamania Runs Wild at Expo!

Pro wrestling legend looking for new tag team partners in the attractions industry

Pro wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan made a buzzworthy trip to IAAPA Attractions Expo 2017. The Hulkster toured the trade show floor, visiting several booths in search of “a new set of tools” for his Hogan’s Beach Shop retail space in Orlando.

Hogan’s store opened in May 2017 on International Drive and offers a variety of Hulkster-branded items, from T-shirts to championship belts to toys; it also features a few pieces of memorabilia for Hulkamaniacs to admire. But Hogan said the current location is just a placeholder—he’s planning a new 4,000-square-foot space in Orlando he hopes to make into a much more dramatic fan experience.

“I’m looking forward to meeting vendors and finding a brand-new tag team so I can change the vision for Hogan’s Beach Shop,” Hogan said during a press conference on the show floor. “We decided IAAPA’s the place to make some new relationships and change our little beach shop into an attraction. I know what it’s like to be an attraction, but this is a whole new world for me.”

Hogan said this was an exploratory mission, and he will sit down with his team after the Expo and evaluate what they learned, then start reaching out to potential vendors. The goal, he said, is to create and perfect a Hogan’s Beach Shop experience in Orlando that he could then replicate in other markets around the world.
