 Exciting Times in Europe
I look forward to seeing my friends and colleagues at IAAPA’s Euro Attractions Show 2011 in London at the end of this month. This conference and trade show continues to experience growth year after year; the 2011 trade show floor, for instance, will feature more exhibiting companies than ever before.
The show is emblematic of how much growth IAAPA is experiencing in that part of the world and how exciting the European market continues to be in the worldwide attractions industry. Over the past two years, IAAPA Europe has doubled in members. To those of you who have recently joined us, welcome! To those who have been with us for many years, thank you for your loyalty and participation in helping our operations in Europe become what they are today.
If the attractions profiled in this issue of Funworld are any indication, the European industry is as vibrant as ever. What Compagnie des Alpes has done to reinvent its Walibi brand is remarkable, and it’s always a good day for the entire industry when a new facility the caliber of Italy’s Rainbow MagicLand opens its doors for the first time.
So thanks to everyone who has helped support the association’s growth in Europe over the past several years. I cannot wait to see where it goes from here.
Sincerely,

Bob Rippy, Chairman of the Board
