LASTING MEMORIES: John Turner, former vice president of administration of Ripley Entertainment Inc., died July 2 at 80 years old in Ponteland, England, after a lengthy illness. For 38 years, Turner worked as a manager at Ripley museums in Blackpool, England, and St. Augustine, Florida. After a promotion to vice president of administration, Turner oversaw Ripley’s exhibit warehouses and the company’s billboard company. He retired in 1993 but continued his work for Ripley’s in exhibit acquisition for 15 years. Jim Pattison Jr., president of Ripley Entertainment, calls Turner “one of the best managers this company has ever had,” and notes his “wicked sense of humor,” community work, and Royal Marine training among the valued qualities cherished by Ripley’s, family, and friends. 
STAYING STRONG: Briton Engineering Developments Ltd in the UK has renewed its two-year representation agreement with Dieter Sturmof All-Season Extreme Inc. to serve as their exclusive United States sales and marketing rep. Sturm has represented Briton for the past five years and was instrumental in the first Snowflex Center in the United States—currently being built in Lynchburg, Virginia. www.snowflex.com

INDUSTRY VET: Adrian Fisher is the new vice president of entertainment for SeaWorld San Diego. Fischer assumed the position in July 2009 and oversees all aspects of shows and entertainment at the park, including production, performers, theme, lighting, and stage elements. ADDITIONS:Accesso, providers of ticketing, commerce, and payment solutions for the attractions industry, has named TJ Christenson as director of business development and Janel Pisorchik as director of business operations; both are hospitality industry veterans with ticketing and operations experience. MOVING OVER, GROWING LARGER: Premier Rides, designers and builders of roller coasters and other attractions, is moving from its office in Millersville, Maryland, to a refurbished historic building in Little Italy—a neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland. The company currently leases two spaces—a 5,000-square-foot headquarters in Millersville and 5,000 square feet in an industrial park near Baltimore-Washington International Airport, where it builds ride prototypes.
