LETTER FROM THE CHAIR

The summer is an exciting time for facility operators—games are humming along, rides are chugging into the stations, and the smell of great food is everywhere. While we are so busy with the day-to-day duties, it can be hard to think of making anything else a priority. But the busy season is the best time to keep up with your peers and business partners through IAAPA’s various communication tools.

As a facility operator, you have relationships with key vendors, industry friends, and other facilities are critical; staying in touch allows you to keep up with what’s changing in the industry, what new developments are taking place, and what products and services are must-haves for the future.

Of course IAAPA Attractions Expo is the best meeting place and forum for networking, products, and education, but why not get those connections primed in advance of the show?

As you know, IAAPA has recently launched a brand-new presence at www. IAAPA.org, replete with easy-to-find information on educational programs, upcoming events, government relations issues, products, and more. Best of all, the site includes a new and improved Communities section, a forum where members can go online to find a wide range of constituency resources, including educational session handouts, information about upcoming events, plus more.

All you need to get started is a log-in and password. Visit www. IAAPA.org, login, click “Communities,” select your member constituency from the drop-down menu, and get started! It’s that easy. And you can do it all from your home or office, whenever it’s convenient.

Being able to communicate with your peers in a virtual realm throughout the year is priceless, but the benefits of the new web site don’t end there. The new design is cleaner and fresher, and the ease of use has been markedly improved. You are now only one to two clicks away from the essential information you need to sign up for an Expo, register for an education program, or buy a product.

For more information about the web site, contact IAAPA at +1 703/836-4800.

Best Regards,
