Europa-Park Honored for Its Support of IAAPA Charity Partner

Europa-Park in Germany recently received recognition by the European Parliamentary Union for its outstanding programs promoting international understanding among its guests—the primary mission of the International Institute for Peace Through Tourism, one of IAAPA’s three global charities.

IAAPA Charities Ambassador John Graff took the opportunity to acknowledge Europa-Park’s Managing Director, Roland Mack, with the association’s first “Service to the Cause of World Peace” award during the General Managers and Owners breakfast at IAAPA Orlando 2003 this past November.

The association’s board is encouraging other IAAPA members to support the institute by developing activities or strategies that will make guests aware of the opportunities they have as they travel to be ambassadors of goodwill among people of different lands and cultures. A suggested list of such activities is included in an institute article published in the November 2003 issue of FUNWORLD. For more information, contact John Graff, jgraff1@cox.net.
