At the Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD), Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) and Springs Preserve, we pride ourselves in being a leader in the community. The LVVWD provides water to more than one million people in Southern Nevada and is one of seven member agencies that make up the SNWA, a regional agency that addresses Southern Nevada’s unique water needs on a regional basis. The Springs Preserve is a 180-acre family attraction, featuring museums, galleries and gardens that convey a message of sustainable living in a fun, hands-on way while celebrating the history of Las Vegas. GENERAL PURPOSE: As a Naturalist for the Spring Preserve’s Nature Exchange Program you will provide a hands-on learning experience to children and adults related to the exchange (trading) of natural objects collected mostly from the desert environment. Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in museum studies, cultural studies, education, environmental studies, or a closely related field and one year of paid or volunteer experience related to educational programs for a formal or informal educational institution, museum, cultural, or public attraction venue; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
