IAAPA Attractions Expo Education Conference Program is comprised of two interactive and informative categories of learning opportunities: Educational Seminars and In-depth Learning Experiences.
With more than 100 educational options such as the popular behind-the-scenes facility tours, professional development institutes, one-on-one consulting sessions and more to choose from, now is the time to experience the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2016 Conference Program.
Educational Seminars (coming soon)
Led by experts in the attractions industry, attendees are exposed to more than eighty 75-minute educational seminars designed specifically for amusement park, family entertainment center, water park, museums, zoo, aquariums and theme park professionals.
Several educational seminars are translated simultaneously into Spanish and/or Portuguese.
Educational seminars are scheduled throughout the day Monday through Friday at the expo.
Participation in the educational seminars is free to IAAPA members as part of an individual’s expo registration. A valid expo badge must be worn to gain access to the educational seminars.
Nonmembers may attend the educational seminars by purchasing the Education Conference Program package during the online registration process or on-site at the expo. Access to more than 80 educational seminars is US $329 per person.
In-depth Learning Experiences
Many of IAAPA’s most popular educational events are those that provide participants with more intensive opportunities to explore subjects. Whether visiting a local attraction on a behind the scenes tour – EDUTour – or collaborating with peers in the Institute for Attractions Managers or Safety Institute programs, IAAPA’s In-depth Learning Experiences offer attendees exclusive access, networking and expertise. Attendance is limited and you must be 18 year or older to participate.
Meet one-on-one with industry experts in retail and merchandise, food and beverage, or midway games and get a fresh perspective on your business. Bring your, challenges, idea, plans, samples or photos of your project to get a fresh perspective on how to re-imagine your attraction and your next success. Consultations last one hour and must be scheduled in advance.
Experience the attractions in Orlando in action from every perspective possible: early in morning before the guests arrive, late at night at its thrilling close, front-of-house, back-of-house and everywhere in between.
Institutes and Symposia
Take advantage of professional development opportunities led by some of the industry’s best experts and teachers. Programs are single-day and multi-day events and many include an immersive experience at local
Enjoy lunch, then listen, learn, and participate in education programs focused on FECs, Water Parks, Amusements Parks and Attractions issues.
Trade Show Floor Tours
Discover the latest industry innovations during a guided tour of the trade show floor. Participants experience product demonstrations and presentations that will assist in making informed buying decisions.
First-Time Buyers Experience
Experts guide you through the trade show experience and demonstrate the tools available to help you find the right exhibitor, quickly locate booths, and navigate on-site IAAPA services.
In-depth Learning Experiences are individually priced and require a ticket for participation. Tickets may be purchased during the online registration process or on an available only basis, on-site at the expo. Tickets sell out for many of these popular in-depth learning experience.
IAAPA Certification is the mark of professional achievement in the attraction industry.
Starting in 2016, participation in the educational seminars and in many of the In-depth Learning Experiences qualifies for continuing education (CE) hours towards an IAAPA Certification. See individual programs for details.
