Session Description

Be sure your facility has an up-to-date emergency response plan to handle everything from an incident to a large-scale security event. Join a panel discussion with IAAPA Safety Committee members and ask your questions during a questions and answers session. Given recent world events and heightened security concerns at entertainment venues, attractions should be as prepared as possible to handle any situation.

Paul Chatelot, Director, Prevention, Safety and Environment, Disneyland Paris, France

Paul is leading prevention programs throughout the Guests’ experience and the Environmental management. He also has the responsibility of the Crisis Management System. Paul joined Disneyland ® Paris in 1990 after 12 years of industrial experience in different areas such as Quality Assurance Manager for ARIANE’s Operations and launch pad facilities at Kourou, Guyana. He was an Engineer in the equipment of several aerospace programs and motorsport F1 teams. Paul holds an engineering degree from the Higher School of Aerospace Techniques and Automotive Construction.

David Bromilow combines 37 years of experience within the leisure, sports and entertainment sectors.  He is well regarded as technical expert and consultant, with global expertise in operations, engineering / maintenance, risk management and occupational health & safety. From Lloyd’s to Drayton Manor Park, Pleasure Beach to Magic Harbour, David spread his knowledge, working worldwide. He has been Instructor and Risk Control Manager. David delivers risk management seminars, health and safety workshops on principles and procedures.

Gianni is a European expert on Standardisation and Harmonisation in Safety and Accessibility for Amusement Parks, Rides and Attractions. He shares his experience worldwide and has helped facilities to improve their safety procedures. Gianni is the technical Secretary of ANCASVI, the first European Association of builders created in the 1980s. He has been a member since 1988 of various boards, such as the UNI Safety Commission, European Standardisation Committee, technical Committee 152, Working Group UNI GL 14, ISO/TC 254 and ASTM Committee F24.


Francois Fassier
François Fassier, Director Leisure Destinations, Compagnie des Alpes, FR

François graduated from Ensam, France, Superior National School of Arts et Metiers.
He started his career in the Industry in Disneyland Paris, as maintenance Manager. He was later promoted Industrial Director.
 
His extensive knowledge of large parks helped him join Compagnie des Alpes in 2005.  François worked for the Belgian pole of the group, in Walibi Belgium, Aqualibi and Bellewaerde. He developed the French pole, with Parc Asterix and was in charge of all industrial investments for the dozen of attractions parks owned by the group.
 
Since 2013, François is a member of the Executive Committee at the headquarters in Paris. He sits on the Board of Snelac  and runs all operations of the parks of Compagnie des Alpes, as  Director Leisure Destinations.
