Session Description

Join our diverse panel as they describe experiences, share anecdotes and illustrations of taking an innovative and interdisciplinary approach to entertainment in design, in retail and into the home! Our panelists have experience ranging from the theme park and commercial attractions sector, to museums, to retail design. Learn how the entertainment experience is being extended from stand alone location based entertainment into the retail arena and the home. The benefits? - loyal and repeat customers.

Stephen Davies
Stephen Davies, Director Live Entertainment BBC, UK

Stephen Davies is the Director for Live Entertainment at BBC Worldwide, the main commercial arm of the BBC, around the World. Stephen is responsible for working with partners to develop live events and attractions that bring the BBC’s fans even closer to the programmes they love, bringing to life brands such as Doctor Who, Top Gear, Dancing With The Stars and Cbeebies.  He has worked at BBC Worldwide for fourteen years in a variety of senior licensing and partnership roles in a range of market sectors, including music, education and publishing.  Prior to BBC Worldwide, Stephen developed supply chain strategy for J Sainsbury plc. Stephen is also a trustee of the National Autistic Society.
Steven Rhys
Steven Rhys, Executive Vice President and Managing Director Forrec, Canada

Steven is Executive Vice President and a Managing Director of Forrec.
From Vancouver to Dubaï, theme and water parks, resorts, mixed-use developments to major visitor attractions around the globe, his strengths in concept development, feasibility, landscape architecture, enable him to grasp the big idea- context, business goals, integration,character and identity of the whole site- considerations that ensure the creation of a memorable visitor experience.

Steven is a member of numerous world associations. With more than 25 years of experience, he maintains his continuous involvement with global design developments.
Ibrahim Ibrahim
Ibrahim Ibrahim, Portland Group, UK

Ibrahim is the Managing Director and owner of Portland, London. Portland is a leading international branding and retail design business, involved on a broad range of projects including retail, F&B, consumer brands, shopping centres, airports and mixed use developments. Their understanding of consumers’ relationship with brands and their engagement with branded physical and digital environments lies at the heart of their work. Ibrahim places great emphasis on ‘future proofing’ brands. Ibrahim originally trained as an aeronautical engineer and is a post graduate of the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. 
Yael Coifman
Yael S Coifman – Senior Partner, UK (moderator)
Yael is a founding partner of Leisure Development Partners (LDP), a specialised consulting practice focused on the worldwide visitor attraction and leisure industry. Yael has an MBA in international business, economics and science and prior to founding LDP, she was a Director at ERA based in Los Angeles and London. During her 20 years consulting in the industry, Yael has completed projects in over 60 countries, throughout Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, and Asia, sharing her expertise and global perspective with museums, corporate brand centres, major attractions parks and investment groups.
