See what is new in the industry. Hear about the results or impacts new investments made on facilities in 2017. Make sure to attend this vivid round table discussions that will provide you with speed learning on topics related to this year´s novelties. Each presenter will present for 10 minutes, then they will join a table for in-depth discussions on the details related to their speeches.

Some of the session´s speakers include 

Andreas Veilstrup Andersen, CEO & President, Liseberg Group, Sweden

Andreas is the CEO and President of the Liseberg Group, running one of Scandinavia’s biggest amusement parks, in Gothenburg, Sweden. Andreas has a legal and financial background, and has been working in the amusement park industry since 2000, first at Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Denmark, and later as Executive Director of IAAPA’s European operations in Brussels, Belgium. Andreas is currently First Vice Chair of IAAPA, and will take over as Chairman in November 2017.

Massimiliano Freddi

Massimiliano Freddi, V.P Strategic Development Leolandia, Italy 
(member of Iaapa Emea Education sub-committee)

Led by a strong passion for the amusement parks industry, after his studies in marketing and communication, Massimiliano began his career as a Marketing, Press & PR Manager Italy for Disneyland Paris. In 2008, he took on the challenge to join the team in charge of relaunching the 40-years old miniature facility Minitalia, Milano, and turned it into a cutting edge theme park. 
After running  Leolandia as a General Manager for seven years, Massimiliano became  V.P Strategic Development. The park is  Italy’s number one park for families with children under 10, with a strong focus on safety, accessibility, environment and service. 

Coen Bertens

COO, Efteling, Netherlands

Coen Bertens is Chief Operational Officer and Member of the Board of Efteling. After a long career with the park (since 1998), he is currently responsible for the operations in Efteling (park, accomodations, theatre, golf course and facilities). Coen holds a degree in economics and studied at the Tias Nimbas Business School. He is currently also member of the advisory board of TÜV Nederland QA B.V where he is responsible for supervision on the independence.

Chris Lange

Chris Lange, Creative Director, Europa-Park, Germany

Chris Lange started his career in the Entertainment Business 19 years ago as a Line Producer on commercials and music videos. He then moved into the world of Themed Entertainment when he became Creative Producer at a scenic workshop. Chris next went to work for the Merlin Entertainments Group as Creative Director for various brands. Finally, in 2007, Chris took his talents and years of experience and founded his own company, Creative Design & Services. In 2010 Chris embarked on international career when he worked on the Adlab´s Imagica theme park located outside Mumbai or later for Genting Group in Singapore where he worked on the 20th Century Fox Movie World in Genting Highlands, Malaysia. While there, Chris also designed Resort Worlds Jeju Myths & Legend Theme Park in South Korea. Chris then returned to Europe and joined Europa-Park in 2015 as Creative Director and head of Mack Solutions, the in-house Creative & Design Department. Chris is creatively responsible for all new attractions in the park as well as refurbishing projects and future expansion. Chris is also heading up the resort development team on a project that will include a water park, RD&E zone and more hotels.Chris is proud of creating many unique and exciting visitor experiences for audiences of all ages around the world.

Kim-Schaefer

Kim Schäfer, Head of Sales & Marketing, Tropical Islands, Germany

Kim Schäfer, born November 1966 in Marburg / Lahn, studied Marketing and Economics at Johannes-Gutenberg-University in Mainz. He worked for 12 years for Sony Music Entertainment (Columbia Records) in Frankfurt and Berlin in marketing for national and international artists. Since 2007 he works with Tropical Islands where he is since 4 years completely responsible for the sales & marketing department with a staff of 40. The team most recently won the “EWA Awards for the most innovative marketing campaign – Tropical Islands – Amazonia” and the “German Brand Award” for Tropical Islands Amazonia.
