You’ve Got Mail … or You Will Soon … and We Need Your Input! In the next three months, IAAPA will conduct two important research studies via e-mail, and we really need your input for both surveys.

  • IAAPA Member Needs Assessment Survey – Coming in December—IAAPA surveys members to solicit feedbak on association products and services so we can refine programs for the future.
  • State of the Industry Study – Theme/ Amusement Park, Waterpark, and FEC Operators—Coming in January—This benchmarking study is designed to help managers compare their operations to others with similar facilities.

Bart de Boer to Chair IAAPA Europe Advisory Committee Bart de Boer, CEO of Efteling, Kaatsheuvel, Netherlands, has been appointed as new chairman of the IAAPA Europe Advisory Committee. De Boer, who started as CEO of Efteling in 2008, has been active in the IAAPA Europe Advisory Committee since 2009. He replaces chairman Mats Wedin, who retired in his position as CEO of Liseberg effective Dec. 31, 2010.

The committee oversees and advises on the overall strategy of IAAPA Europe and coordinates the activities of the four subcommittees: the IAAPA Europe Education Subcommittee, the IAAPA Europe Government Relations Subcommittee, the IAAPA Europe Safety subcommittee, and the IAAPA Europe Manufacturers and Suppliers Subcommittee.
