Non-Resident Temporary Work Permit
The Macau Government has made IAAPA aware of the need for a “Temporary Work Permit” for all exhibitors who are non-residents who will be constructing stands/booths for Asian Attractions Expo 2008.
All exhibitors or exhibitor appointed contractors who will be doing extensive building/construction of a booth must apply for the Temporary Work Permit. Exhibitors who will only be hanging posters and displaying brochures/materials need not have a permit.
Please note the following:
-
This type of authorization is one-off and valid for a maximum period of six months. The permit is not subject to renewal.
-
There is no application fee.
-
Final decision will be made based on all information completed on the application form and other attached documents.
-
Non-resident workers are prohibited to work without official authorization.
-
The process by HR Cabinet (Macau Government) will take at least 1-2 week(s). Applications must be submitted 45 working days prior to exhibit move-in.
-
The application can be completed in English, Chinese or Portuguese.
-
For the salary column on the form, HR Cabinet requires that the salary column be completed with monthly salary instead of hourly paid even though staff may just be hired for a few days. Monthly salary can be estimated.
-
In addition, with the application, submit each worker’s ID # and copy, a simple CV of individual, and address. A sample form is available for your use.
Please remember it is necessary for all non-residents who will be constructing/building booths during Asian Attractions Expo 2008, to obtain a temporary work permit.
