The curriculum will bring together cutting edge information that will help you hone your core business skills. Sessions will focus on decision-making and strategic planning, with an emphasis on balancing strategy and execution. Taught by the top professors in the business industry these sessions include:
- Decision-Making: In today’s economic environment the decisions you face on a daily basis are critical to the success of your business. In this session you will learn to reframe issues for accurate problem-solving, distinguish systematic patterns from random events, and identify unique stakeholder perspectives.
- Managing and Influencing Across Boundaries: Whether you work in a small organization or a large one, you must know how to successfully manage and lead all members of the company. This session will help you understand how organizational boundaries enable and impede effective communication and collaboration. A case study will demonstrate how executives can successfully manage and influence across teams and boundaries.
- Emotional and Social Intelligence: It is imperative for attractions industry executives to understand your team’s dynamic. This session will help you improve your employees’ performance with a clear evaluation of their (and your) emotional and social intelligence.
- Crafting Your Leadership Style: What makes a great leader in the attractions industry? Here you will shape your own leadership style by looking at your strengths in relation to several leadership models and role models.
- Bridging Divide between Strategy and Execution: The attractions industry is full of people who understand how to execute a strategic initiative, but may not fully understand the strategies behind it. Research indicates that over two-thirds of major strategic initiatives fail to be executed – here you will learn what you can do to prevent this from happening at your organization.
