What is Career Slam?

This program provides college students with a rare opportunity to network and learn from leaders and veterans of our industries.

Career Slam isn’t a job fair – it’s a chance for you to network with managers, executives, and other seasoned amusement industry professionals! The Roundtable Discussion session is the heart of the Slam – where you will sit elbow-to-elbow with successful industry professionals, and learn about their work, their companies, and the career paths and decisions that have helped them succeed.

The session will last two hours.

Who Should Attend?

Career Slam is open to current full-time and part-time college students who are interested in pursuing a career in any of the following industries:

Amusement/theme parks
Aquariums
Casinos
Family Entertainment Centers (FEC)
Hospitality
Museums
Resorts
Show & Attractions Management

Zoos

Who Will attendees meet?

The IAAPA Human Resources Committee is sponsoring this event and has arranged for professionals from a number of very different companies and representing a range of operational areas to participate. Speakers will rotate regularly throughout the session so students will meet several experts and gain a variety of new perspectives and insights into the types of career paths and opportunities our industry creates.

Do I Need to Register to Attend?

Yes. Registration is required for this event. There is no fee to attend, however space is limited and registration will fill on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-Registration will be available until Nov 4, while space is available.

How Do I Register to Attend?

Complete and submit the online registration form before Nov 4, 2011. Note that many of the questions are optional, but will help our speakers better prepare to address your interests and questions. Bring your confirmation email with you the event.

Students who do not pre-register will be admitted if space permits. Space is limited, please be courteous and only register if you are able to commit to attending this 2 hour session.
