Celebrating IAAPA's Centennial
IAAPA celebrates its first hundred years of existence and we want to celebrate it together! We will present a retrospective of the association and the role that the Latin American industry and its leaders have played in this evolution.

Oxígeno, the first human playground, is a unique and interactive space that integrates community, entertainment, sports, gastronomy, shopping and green areas. Its four worlds are designed to surprise, entertain and transform experiences, according to the interests and affinities of its visitors. The opening of this interesting project is scheduled for the second half of 2018.

Parque Diversiones belongs to the Asociación Pro-Hospital Nacional de Niños, a private non-profit organization. It was founded in December 1981 with the mission of providing a world of fantasy, safe fun and excellence in service to its guests, generating revenues to support the National Children's Hospital. It has 24 rides, four water attractions, two trains, a playground area, a games and video games area, restaurants, shops and outlets. We will end the facility tour with a typical dinner in Pueblo Antiguo, a themed area full of history and tradition with replicas of San Jose buildings from the late nineteenth and early twentieth century where shows and plays are performed.

Since 1991, Café Britt Coffee Tour has educated and entertained almost one million coffee lovers from around the world, through a colorful and original journey that takes them from the plantation to the toaster plant. In this original trip, visitors enjoy a presentation on the history and culture of coffee in Costa Rica, a sustainable coffee plantation, a toaster plant, coffee seedlings, as well as coffee and chocolate tastings. Grupo Britt's history has been of constant innovation in both products and business model, from a tourist attraction such as the Coffee Tour, to concept stores at airports and internet sales.

This institution has 101 years of existence, and its main objectives are environmental education, support for research programs, reproduction and conservation of flora and fauna species, as well as the rescue of wildlife. Since 1994, it has been managed by the Pro Zoological Foundation (FUNDAZOO), establishing programs of veterinary medicine, animal nutrition, biology, botany, conservation and museography, based on modern scientific and technical criteria, provided by highly trained professionals. One of its main attractions is being the only forest in the center of San Jose, with about 350 individuals of 40 different species living in the park and dozens of animal species that use the forest ecosystem and the lagoon as their home or migration site. We will start our visit with a luncheon where you can network and learn from your colleagues.

Who would have imagined that this magical and colorful castle located in the heart of San Jose, used to be a prison? This is one of the most frequent questions posed by visitors to the Children's Museum, one of the most well-known projects of the Costa Rican Center of Science and Culture, operating since 1994 in what used to be the old Central Penitentiary of San Jose. Also known as the "Castle of Dreams," it covers an area of ​​over 4.000 square meters and, in addition to the Children's Museum, houses the National Auditorium and the Penitentiary Museum, which rescues more than 100 years of history of this iconic building. The Children's Museum was the first of its kind in Central America and is currently the only 100% interactive museum in the country. It receives more than 300.000 people annually, making it the most visited museum of Costa Rica.

La Paz Waterfall Gardens is Costa Rica's most visited private ecological attraction. It offers the best trails near San Jose, the most famous waterfalls in Costa Rica, including the famous La Paz waterfall, an animal sanctuary and private wildlife reserve with more than 100 species of animals, and environmental education programs. Its attractions include five waterfalls, cloud forest and rainforest, feeding of toucans in the palm of the hand, butterfly observatory and laboratory, two-toed sloths, capuchin monkeys, a hummingbird garden with more than 26 species, jaguars, pumas, ocelots, frogs, and orchid exhibitions, among others. We will conclude our tour and the Summit program with a lunch on the premises.
