Pricing Seminar

The growth of upfront and online ticket sales has resulted in a wide range of different pricing strategies with new possibilities. During IAAPA EMEA Spring Summit, attendees will explore how these strategies are used across different industries and how they can benefit the attractions industry.

Franz Blechschmidt, managing director and founder of Smart Pricer, will provide a keynote presentation on dynamic pricing, where attendees will learn how different industries — from airlines and ski resorts to football clubs and museums — use these approaches and how they can be applied to the attractions industry.

Weissenhäuser Strand, a holiday resort in Germany, recently conducted a neurological study to identify how the brain of potential guests responded to suggested prices for the resort. Attendees will hear from David Depenau, general manager, as he shares more about the resort’s research and how it influenced their prices.

The seminar will conclude with a panel discussion moderated by Massimiliano Freddi, chairman of the IAAPA EMEA Education Subcommittee. Panelists include Andreas Sievering, CEO of Fort Fun, who will discuss personal pricing and Stephanie Schaub, CEO of Hachez Chocoversum, who will discuss dynamic-priced time slots.
