THIRD VICE CHAIR
2009 BOARD OF DIRECTORS NOMINATION FORM To qualify as an applicant you must be “significantly involved” in the operations of a facility. “Significantly involved” means you must spend at least 50% of your time in the operation of your facility. The Third vice Chair is elected for a three-year term, moving up to 2nd, then 1st and finally the Chairman of the Board for one year, and is therefore something you should not lightly undertake. In making this application, it is assumed that you are making a commitment to serve for that period of time. In addition to the qualifications you cite in this application, the nominating committee will consider your particular interest in, and aptitude for, financial analysis and management. It will also consider your past experience in IAAPA, your character, integrity, capability, accountability, honor and any possible conflicts of interest. Letters received by the committee in support of your candidacy will be considered, but the number of such letters will not be a controlling factor. These are some, but not necessarily all, of the factors that will be considered in choosing a nominee. The intent of this is fairness and a genuine attempt to choose the most qualified person. If there is any hesitancy or reluctance to perform these duties you should decline becoming a nominee. You must also understand that if, during your tenure, you are no longer involved in the industry as required above, your resignation from the position is required. The committee may interview one or more finalists during the process of selection. NOMINATION
