Board of Directors Nominations

IAAPA is accepting nominations for the 2009 Board of Directors and Third Vice Chair. Nomination forms are due by June 20, 2008.

Candidates for Third Vice Chair must be significantly involved in the operation of a member facility and must spend a minimum of 50% of their time in the operation. The 2009 Third Vice Chair will proceed through the positions of Second and First Vice Chair and assume the position of Chairman of the Board in 2012.

Candidates for the facility and life director positions must be significantly involved in the operation of a member facility and spend 50% of their time in the operation. Candidates must be prepared to hold the position for three consecutive years.

Candidates for the manufacturer and supplier director position must be employed full time by an IAAPA manufacturer and supplier member and have served on the Manufacturers and Suppliers Committee or Space Allocation Committee.

IAAPA strongly encourages nominations from all facility types and geographic areas. While the selection process is largely based on each individual’s qualifications, the association strives to achieve a balance of geography, facility size, and industry segments among directors. Letters in support of a candidate are welcome.
